Bbq Proper - Metro Durham/Chapel Hill

Rating is based on food and service, not pricing. I order the Blue Cheese Brisket sandwich. Small for the price but it does the job. We all shared the hushpuppies which were good with the butter sauce. Wife and kids had the wings which they liked. I'd have it again.

First time. The brisket and slaw were pretty tasty. Good hush puppies too. Definitely worth a second try.

The barbecue is just stunning, as is the barbecue sauce. And the barbecue eggrolls will probably raise your cholesterol by 23% but they are worth it. I don’t remember what we got for the sides but they didn’t change my life. I don’t care though, the barbecue did.

So, I came by seeing the line at the new bbq place downtown after finding Rob on street food finder. This is indeed award winning east carolina style pulled pork with ... omg who knew blue cheese is better than slaw ?!!! I don't have to drive all the way out to Picnic in Durham ?

Stopped here the first time because we wanted something different. This is the best BBQ I have ever had. We even had them cater our wedding! We live 2+ hours away but I drive to Raleigh just to get this BBQ. Yes, it's that good. The pulled pork egg rolls are to die for and the hush puppies are the best I've ever had! The brisket and pulled pork freeze well and are a favorite in our family. Plus the owner is so sweet and friendly! Absolutely love this place.
