I remember this place being really good when we used to eat here years ago, but was not happy with a single item today except maybe the iced tea! The side salad that came with the meal had a bowl so small it was already spilling out before you tried to cut it up! Of course when you did cut it half spilled out. The quality of the salad so so poor I only had a few bites! The lettuce was in chunks and hard with no green color! The cucumber was also so hard you could hardly cut it with a knife and had a funny flavor as well. The stuffed pepper I was hoping was going to be great, it wasn 't. It looked old and dried up and had zero taste. It was stuffed with some whole shrimp that didn 't even taste like shrimp, and actually had no taste. The stuffing was mostly bread crumbs and also had no flavor?? I don 't even know how they can make a stuffed item with no flavor at all. My wife had the stuffed mirliton and seemed to have the exact same tasteless stuffing! The green beans side item looked and tasted like they opened a store brand can and dumped them in a pot! Even the side sweet potatoes, which the waiter raved about, has a strong spice taste which I didn 't recognize or care for. I 'm sorry it appears like a didn 't like anything but it 's 100% true. Oh, like I said the unsweetened iced tea was ok...

This is a local gem Always fresh home cooked and reasonably priced. Stuffed bell peppers, fried chicken is among the best you can find.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing. I’ve made a special trip to this location several times, and each experience has been delightful, leaving me feeling as though I’ve just enjoyed a home-cooked meal! The service is consistently warm and friendly. I will definitely keep coming back again and again.

Stuffed Mirliton.... No crab or shrimp .. Gooey bread. Tasteless. Gumbo was pretty good. Shrimp Rem. Was $11 for 6 medium shrimp on a bed of lettuce with a plastic container of Remoulaude sauce. They are 0 for 3 visits . We are done.
