Metry Cafe is a wonderful place—spotlessly clean and welcoming. The glass doors offer a nice view of people passing by. The large bar area is lively with friendly guests, and there are plenty of seating options, whether you want to sit at a table or the bar. The atmosphere is very cozy. The bartender, Mary, is fantastic—warm, polite, and willing to chat with newcomers when she has a moment. I highly recommend this bar if you’re on the East Bank.
