Tonight, we decided to try a local spot instead of a chain. We drove all the way from Florida craving Italian food! As an Italian myself, I had a wonderfully affordable and delicious chicken parmesan that was bursting with flavor! The atmosphere was charming and welcoming, making it feel just like home-cooked meals. View all feedback.

I hadn't eaten here in probably 70+ years I've spent in New Orleans now I know why! Don't expect very good Italian food. The red sauce is full of sugar the beef cutlet, not veal, has very little flavor and was overcooked. On the positive side, the Poboys I saw looked very good. It's a traditional good old boy been there for ever diner and it's a nice little place for change. I'd go there again, but I wouldn't order a... View all feedback.
The food is awesome, everything is great. The service is always on point. The ambiance is reminiscent of a typical Italian restaurant. Where the locals go to eat. Many people order to go and pick-up on the way home.
Weekday lunch with husband. Craving Italian and this came up on a Yelp search near our location. Seated immediately. Reasonable crowd around noon, moderate conversation noise, homey atmosphere. Server, Abigail, was busy, so it took a minute to get out drinks ordered. Food was ordered shortly thereafter. No specific lunch menu. Watching other plates come out before ours, wondered if we should have ordered a sandwich; fries looked fantastic! Side salad with homemade 1000 island was okay. Was expecting more from a homemade dressing; tasted like a dressing off the shelf. Husband 's Chicken Alfredo, blackened, was REALLY good. Nice portion. My Chicken Eggplant Parmesan was okay. Good flavor, but lots of breading and not enough marinara, in my opinion. Portion of bread left something to be desired. Meals were around $17 ea, salad extra. Husband 's Coke was refilled, and our check out was speedy. Unsure if there will be a repeat business in the near future, but if we do, we will probably lean away from the Italian. Maybe a sandwich?
Without a doubt, this was the best muffuletta I've ever tasted. Our waitress was attentive and communicated effectively, making the experience even better. She reminded me of my aunt, and I really appreciated the warm, family-friendly atmosphere!
Delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The Italian cuisine has a unique New Orleans flair—definitely recommend!
