Smart, clean and with good, cheerful helpful staff we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. WellDone! Recommended!

I have been coming to Messina for years and I was pleasantly surprised to find such an high standards place. Staff is really polite and friendly, great views of the Stretto and beautiful garden layout. After dinner (reasonably priced), we left the restaurant area in the upstairs terrazza and we enjoyed a refreshing cocktail sitting on the scalinata area that reminds a lot of Taormina in its glorious golden age. We had a great time at Rais and we will definitely coming back next year. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately I was totally upset about the service and the food. I will now explain my reasons : the waiter was rude and unpolite waiting time too long; we were four and we had to wait eachother meal in order to eat together, so certainly our plates were cold at the lack of base english knowledge language and italian (because we were with an italian friend and so that he said) To conclude: this was one of the worst experience here in Sicily and I certainly would not suggest this place for eating.

The pizza is very good, one of the best in Messina. The service is not excellent. As a pizza restaurant is quite expensive, 17 € per person for a pizza and a small beer.
