Feeling disappointed with the run down streetscape of what co... read more We were hungry and thirsty and couldn't find anywhere to eat within walking distance of our hotel. Feeling disappointed with the run down streetscape of what could be a beautiful street we happened to find someone who directed us to this unassuming storefront. It was lovely. We were early but they let us in with welcoming smiles and a helpful attitude. The pasta and bruschetta was delicious and salad was provided. The meal for the 2 of us was 30 euros which was well worth it. It soon filled up with locals which is a testament to its popularity.

The staff was kind and welc... read more After visiting the nearby Regional Museum, it was time for lunch. We found the restaurant almost by chance, and we were glad we did. The staff was kind and welcoming, helping us figure out how to enter, when the door seems to be at the back. Once inside, we enjoyed lovely wine, a huge, fresh salad, and a delicious gluten-free pizza. Messina is a logical stop for anyone taking the ferry from mainland Italy, and Kosta 2 is a restaurant we'll seek out again.
