Was Anonym at Del Sud a mag?
The South Bar is a Sicilian pastry bar and ice cream shop that was just a stone's throw from my grandparents' house. For this reason my memories were afraid to be false, full of nostalgia for the old flavors of once even after 40 years, but the South Bar never let me down. To date, they still make the best jaundice ice cream on the planet. View all feedback.

The best cappuccino I found during our travels through Sicily was right here. The staff and baristas were very friendly and nice. I was delighted to discover the cedro (citrus) tart absolutely delicious so I brought some back home.

I can't tell you how much this little place surprised us and delighted us. I felt like there was true passion behind the drinks they made for us. I can't quite remember what they were called because we just asked for a cold coffee and a sweet alcoholic drink. What they gave us was amazing. But what made it even better was a price. We had a drink, coffee and small gelato- all of under 9$ euros. Perfection!

I come to Sicily every year or whenever is possible and I remember when I was little that my grandfather used to bring me here the weekends during spring/summer to get a cone. Can't wait to go back and get another one!! The best Gianduja you could ever try!!!

This busy bar in the centre of town makes a delicious traditional coffee granita, which is the favourite breakfast for the people of messina

This bar, popular among the people of Messina for its high quality gelato, is in a strange way hidden pearl placed along the biggest street through the city. The only place I saw gelato not on show but hidden in the counter like the granite. Ask for the gianduia (the special Messinese chocolate and nuts ice cream) and nocciola said to be the best in town. Closed in the night!
