What User doesn't like about Peggy Sue's 50's Style Diner:
The service was so poor that we had to go up to the counter to place our orders. The waitress nonchalantly mentioned that there were more menus available inside. View all feedback.
I stopped a quick lunch after work on the road. I love a good diner and that's a pretty good one. thematic it didn't really feel kohesiw, some of them seemed too modern in contrast to the 50s diner look it wanted. but the waiting staff was excellent and very polite, eating was very fast ready and they had a great ice cream. the fries were brilliant, a perfect amount of salt and crispy, but not too crispy. the burger was a bit soggy and somehow fell apart when I took it up, but tasted great? if I found myself in the opposite I would come back and I would recommend them to do the same.
We arrived at a minute before two (which is when lunch ends) and were seated promptly. We received our drinks quick but everything went south from there. We understand short staffed, we understand food needs to be cooked but what we don’t understand is why there were so many people wandering around who could have been helping in the dining room? We received three of the four meals within about 5 minutes of each other and the fries were cold. The last meal was received about 15 minutes after the three but at least the fries were warm. We weren’t ever asked how the meal was until the server asked if we needed anything else and we asked for a milkshake to go with no whipped cream. The shake came but was almost was given to another table by I the person clearing tables. We then waited another 15 minutes for the check and finally gave up and went to the cashier who asked for our check. Our server then came up and handed the check to us. Would never recommend nor will we go again.
Had breakfast here before heading south to Vegas. I had the corned beef hash, scrambled eggs and hash browns while my wife had the waffle and sausage patties. Hash was very good and hash browns nice and crispy. My wife waffle was good and so was the sausage but she did say it had a bit too much sage flavor. All in all we would definitely eat there again.
Fair to midlin food and decor. Nothing really special about the food or service. They could do so much more to make this place rock! No music and t I explained lone tv was only playing local advertising. The biscuits and gravy was good but not great. Prices and value are okay. More smiles and fun attitudes would help. Everyone looked like they had to help you not that they wanted too.
Super cute 50's style dinner. We got there about 45 minutes before they closed because we were traveling back home to Washington State. FYI always go to any restaurant no later than an hour and 30 before it closes because just like any other job that last hour is always slightly lagging. I still gave it 5 stars because I know better lol. I wished we could have been in for breakfast, I bet it's amazing! The staff was polite, accommodating but you could tell they were ready to go home. Friendly suggestion for the staff to play into the 50's role and have some fun with it. I've been in the restaurant industry for 29 years and guests love that sort of thing. ?
