At this restaurant, customers find a mix of experiences and flavors. While the friendly staff and cleanliness are praised, the food often falls short of expectations. Many dishes, such as the burritos and salads, suffer from blandness and inconsistency in portion sizes. Diners express disappointment over stale chips and missing items, particularly avocados and sauces. Even popular choices like mahi mahi and shrimp tacos can disappoint in flavor and presentation. Despite some highlighting fast service and well-seasoned seafood, the overall sentiment suggests that this location may not live up to its former glory or the standards set by competitors.

Rubios USED to be the very best for fish tacos...not any more. The staff is very friendly, the place is clean and well stocked but the food is so subpar. Overcooked fish with way too much baking powder in the batter, no thinly sliced cabbage and if you blink you miss the creamy sauce they used to put on the double tortilla. The salsa are ALL so bland it is worse than catsup and the chips are hard as nails. What happened Rubio's ? Why did you change your recipes ?

We enjoy Rubios, however we were disappointed at this location. First we waited several minutes just to place our order. The chopped salad we received was half the size of the same item at a different location. The chopped salad comes with tortilla chip pieces, our pieces were stale. We ordered the mahi mahi on our salad and it was cooked too long and chared on the outside. We were here at 230 on a Sunday not busy. Will not return to this location.

The service was exceptional, definitely deserving of a 5-star rating. However, while my wild-caught Argentine shrimp taco had a decent flavor, it unfortunately did not resemble the large, enticing posters promoting the dish. It could have used a touch of greenery to enhance its presentation.

I have been to several Rubios(great one at UCLA student union)and this one is larger than most, very clean with a nice friendly ambience. GM Penny(very friendly and professional)suggested their new Argentinean shrimp bowl which was delicious and a lot of food for a low price. Their guacamole is amazing, best I've had in years. They also carry my favorite Pellegrino Italian sodas. I'm excited to try their Taco lunch special on my next visit. Highly recommended for quality, value and atmosphere.

Patio has umbrellas, no misters or heaters. Would have been 5 stars but told I couldn't use my coupon because it was already used and I well know it has never been.
