Description

Mesa Donuts is a beloved family-run shop known for its delicious, fresh donuts, including standout apple fritters and fluffy croissants. While selections can run low by mid-afternoon, patrons appreciate the friendly service and the generous servings that often include extras. The shop’s affordable pricing and local charm make it a favorite among both locals and visitors. However, customers expressed disappointment over the use of Styrofoam cups, hoping for more environmentally friendly options in the future, but overall, this is a must-visit spot for dessert lovers in the East Valley.

Always excellent service when I make it in. As long as you are considerate of circumstances, you'll be content with Mesa Donuts. Though if you disregard the fact that it's Not a Chain and it's family owned, and expect them to have anything and everything available in unlimited quantities all the way until closing time, then the resulting disappointment is much deserved. If you want a dozen plus ready, especially of specific varieties, then obviously you should have the consideration to order ahead. (Like many people regularly do. Which, if you've ever gone in early enough to see their morning rush, is one reason that their business hours begin as early as they do. Likewise, if you choose not to place an order ahead of time, or show up near the end of the work day, be prepared for a limited selection. The quality of the product hinges on the fact that it's all made fresh, so expecting them to regularly make a copious supply for potential walk-ins is not only beyond inconsiderate, it's utterly foolish. Leftover stock isn't going to be held to be sold the next day (otherwise it wouldn't be fresh made and is ultimately going to be a loss for the business. Personally I'm glad that they take as much consideration as they do when preparing for service, because increase in wasted product would likely result in an increase of prices. So, if you're just going for your personal purchase, make a morning of it, and you'll be pleased with what you get. If you're trying to get numerous to hand out at the office or something, then put in the effort to order ahead, and everyone will be pleased. Besides, their boba selection (especially Thai tea makes it worthwhile to make the trip, even if the selection is limited.

I would have given a five-star review, but during my second visit, they only had croissants and donut holes available. What’s going on? However, the one time I did get doughnuts, they were fantastic, and my brothers can't stop talking about the apple fritters!

Decent as far as donuts. Like Bosa. But no seating inside or outside. There are tables and space. But they are all stacked up and put away.

By far the best doughnuts in the East Valley! The friendly greeter was adorable and had impeccable taste; all his recommendations were perfect. The quality of the ingredients and the expert preparation truly elevate these doughnuts beyond the ordinary. #supportlocal #veteranowned
