Great tasting grilled meats. I think it 's best to eat anything grilled meat related dishes such as rice and rolls. Since the name of this restaurant contains Com Tam which means broken rice, they are more known for broken rice dishes. It can be busy during the weekend. Services is ok not quick. Great location too. You can go to the supermarket which is right next door. View all feedback.

What Jenny dislikes about Com Tam Thuan Kieu:
The food is good, but there seems to be a mix-up with their business hours. The door indicates they close at 8:30 PM, but Google lists the closing time as 8 PM. I arrived at 7:20 PM, and the staff member told me they would be closing in 10 minutes, insisting that I place a to-go order. Several other customers who came in after me faced the same issue regarding the hours. It seemed they were unwilling to accommodate d... View all feedback.

Top quality food. Broken rice dishes are one of my favorites. The owner and family are back and take care of you. Worth a stop if you are shopping at the market.

Been here several times. Food is very good. Seems like the portions are getting smaller. I did have an experience that was uncomfortable. I got a feeling like I was not welcome. Just some mannerisms and attitude...not overt but more subtle. My wife picked up on it as well but it seemed to be directed towards me and not her.

This order was never delivered and he was weird when i texted him. He posted a photo of himself not the food/where he left it.

My experience at Com Tam Thuan Kieu was truly wonderful, and it has quickly become my favorite place for authentic Vietnamese food, particularly their famous broken rice dishes! The atmosphere was inviting, and the delicious smells of the freshly made food immediately set the tone for a great dining experience. What really impressed me was their remarkable attention to detail and the genuine flavors in their dishes. The broken rice offerings were exceptional! Each plate was beautifully arranged and bursting with authentic Vietnamese tastes. The grilled meats were tender, the sauces flavorful, and the rice was cooked to perfection, showcasing the chef's skill. Additionally, the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent recommendations. If you enjoy Vietnamese cuisine or want to try something new, I highly recommend Com Tam Thuan Kieu. It's a gem for broken rice lovers and anyone looking for an authentic Vietnamese culinary experience. Hats off to the team for maintaining such high standards in food quality and service. I will certainly be back for more delightful meals!

The food is great at a reasonable price. The quality of the food is consistent since its opening day (about 1 year ago). There 's no other place in town that serve the 'broken rice dish equal in quality as has as many variety as Thuan Kieu. If you want authentic Vietnamese food at a reasonable price and a big portion, come eat at Thuan Kieu. I say this because I 'm Vietnamese so I 'm opinionated about Vietnamese food and if you have never taste Vietnamese food before, this is the place that you should try it.

My friends and I at Lunch Ladies were absolutely captivated by the variety of Vietnamese dishes! The flavors were rich and enticing, the meat incredibly tender, and there were plenty of condiments to enhance our meals. The service was prompt, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The restaurant is located inside Mekong Plaza in Mesa and has a very casual atmosphere. We definitely plan to return and explore more options since the menu is quite extensive.

Cozy little Vietnamese restaurant in Mekong plaza across from the grocery store. My food was pretty good but the wife's was really fatty. With this covid scare I would think that the elderly gentleman that refills the water would work on his handling of the water cups and hand cleanliness. Would most likely try again. 10/2023 back for another try solid 4 stars. Spring roll are great. Prices have gone crazy high btw.

The food was incredibly delicious! The ingredients were fresh, and everything was prepared wonderfully. The service was quick and excellent. While the atmosphere isn't upscale, it is very clean. I will definitely return!

This restaurant is absolutely the best for egg rolls, spring rolls, and dishes served with Nuoc-Mam, like Com Tam, Bun, and Banh Hoi. Their egg rolls are incredibly crispy and large, made with a clear wrapper. They are so satisfying! And let me tell you about the Com Tam plates—they are massive! The Bi, Cha, and Suong are just delicious. I noticed some negative reviews regarding their hours, which may have affected their rating, but trust me, you should definitely give this place a try!

The service is friendly, and the bungalow is fantastic, which is our usual choice. The Vietnamese iced coffee is delicious, though it did have a bit too much ice; next time, I'll request less ice. The way they prepare the steak is outstanding. I also tried the pork, and both dishes were great.

The grilled meat here is absolutely delicious. I recommend trying all the grilled meat dishes, including the rice and rolls. The restaurant's name includes "Com Tam," which means broken rice, and they are particularly known for their broken rice dishes. It can get pretty busy on weekends, and service is a bit slow. The location is excellent as well, with a supermarket right next door.

This is definitely one of my go-to places for Vietnamese broken rice (Com Tam)! Usually whenever I go to Mekong to get groceries, I would stop by one of the restaurants in the area and this is definitely one of my top picks!!! There is a side of pork bone soup served with your order. The soup is savory and delicious and the pork pieces just melt in your mouth! My favorite thing to get is the grilled beef with the shrimp paste wrapped in the tofu skin (Number 33). Usually all their rice dishes come with the scallion topping, shredded pork, and steamed egg. You can customize what meats or items you want from there by choosing from the menu or making substitutes! For those new to eating Com Tam, you are served a side of the fish sauce and you can pour it on top of your dish to your liking! All the items on the plate should have different tastes and textures yet still work together in perfect harmony! If you're interested in trying a variety of their meats/items, I would recommend getting Number 21, which comes with 10 different types of meats. The plate is huge and can easily serve 2 people. If you are eating it by yourself, you might just have a lot of leftovers for the next day Not only is their rice delicious, their Buns (rice noodle salads) are also on point! For when I'm in a mood for more veggies, I prefer getting the bun and everything comes out fresh and delicious. The flavors and textures are all there! Here are some of the toppings I recommend trying for those who haven't had Com Tam before: Lao Xu'ong (Chinese sausage), Chao Tom (Shrimp paste wrapped in sugar cane, here they take out the sugar cane to serve), Tau Hu Ky (shrimp paste wrapped in tofu skin), and then for the main meats I usually prefer the beef or the pork chop!
