We called here for lunch. A very pleasant venue but we found the service at best perfunctory and at worst verging on rude. The oysters I had were good but our fish main course was ordinary although well presented. I was surprised that we had...to ask for bread and the wait for the main course was exceptionally long. I think that the staff might need to learn that a wecoming smile might make up ordinary food appear mo... View all feedback.
We went into this place and as there was none others opened that we hadnt visited, and what a bonus! This place was lovely, we had duck pate (Frais Gras) and Mussels to start, followed by Steak, with all the sauces Mustard, Honey, Brie,...and pepper corn, all was that good we couldn't choose which was best, in fact we loved it so much went back the next night the final night of our holiday and had; Fras Gras again followed by chicken stuffed with mushroom, my husband had seafood platter, as there was no mussels, he had oysters and king prawns, he was over the moon it took him a while but he got through it but he did. We ate here in the evening and the next day at lunchtime. They have a really good cook. The Sea Bream (Bar) was great. Wine was good. Lunchtime menu brilliant value too. Nice outside garden but indoor deco is nice as well. Lol forward to...going back on next visit.
We sat outside in the garden as it was a beautiful evening and very hot. Our rosé wine was brought to the table in a huge container full of ice and even the glasses were chilled. We both ate the Sea Bream, on the a...la carte menu, which was cooked to perfection with a spicy stuffing, accompanied by quenelles of mashed potato and ratatouille. Beautiful flavours in all of it.
Lovely evening spent with friends. Meal was exceptional. We had course set menu. Excellent value for money. Very relaxed and delicious food.
Our first experience of a restaurant in merville. it had just been refurbished, and was the in place to eat. the décor was first class and plenty of room between tables. menu very good, excellent fish dishes. however we suffered with 2 differing types of service. one waiter was laid back and did not rush you. the other you barely had time to put your cutlery down and the plates had vanished.the same with digesting the menu it was handed to you and 20 seconds later he was waiting for the order.it was quite crowded and once they have ironed out their procedures a nice place to go.
