centrally located in the heart of wimbledon. this oldie worldie traditional pub is a nice to sit eating and drinking day. or evening. a wide range of exhausted beers and spirits. I always had friendly staff here a nice atmosphere. great place to meet. that was also a reasonable price. View all feedback.
What Matteo M doesn't like about Prince Of Wales:
I agree with the previous reviews that the food at this restaurant is not good. I ordered a burger and when the waiter asked me how I would like it cooked, I was left disappointed. View all feedback.
I occasionally visit The POW and always enjoy the atmosphere and selection of real ales. Recently, my friends and I had a fantastic time during our annual visit to watch the Cheltenham horse racing festival on television while sipping on cold Guinness. Some of us stayed for all four days, while on Friday there were nine of us. Aggie and Lucy took excellent care of us throughout the four days, especially on Friday. We had a reserved table in our favorite part of the pub, where Aggie and Lucy made sure our drinks kept coming. A big thank you to Aggie and her team. We will definitely be back before next March and can't wait for our annual gathering. Aggie, Lucy, can we please reserve our usual table? Oh, and could you have two pints of Guinness waiting for us around midday on Tuesday?
It was wonderful to return to P.O. W PUB in Wimbledon. We received a warm welcome from Agi, who greeted us with genuine warmth and a smile. As always, the place was spotless. We were served by a lady named Tally, who was also very pleasant. I just wanted to give a big shout out to this team. The bartender was always friendly as well, though we can't remember his name. Keep up the good work!
My friends and I visited the restaurant last Sunday for dinner and drinks. We had the pleasure of being served by the amazing waitress, Emily. She was so friendly and welcoming. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
First of all, they serve my favourite beer Neckoil and so I was immediately happy. Secondly, the staff are always so friendly and happy. It makes for a great atmosphere. I've been to this pub quite a few times and I have to say they are doing an exceptional job with their social distancing measures.
Went for dinner on a Monday night, place was relatively empty so felt ok. Food was good and plentiful, with the child having the tomato soup and fish finger sandwich, whilst we shared a veggie platter and then had a burger and toastie. Malbec was nice apparently. Tv was on for football, but not too loud if you wanted to have a conversation. Staff were friendly and efficient.
