Skip's has always been a go to for my family, as its literally minutes away from my childhood home. We've walked there during my childhood. The food has remained pretty consistent throughout my life as far as my memory serves. The fries maybe used to have more curlies in there and less ends, but overall the food has remained the same more or less. That said, my only complaints would be that, for the prices, I do wish... What Ed Nicolas doesn't like about Skip's Snack:
Thats what happens when the Original died and lef to his daughter and son in law. I have been going there for over 65 years when the real owner started across the street. When I went this year I could not find the hamburger in the bum it was the size of a silver dollar and very thin. I won’t go agin for those prices View all feedback.
I moved here from the south, the deep south. Haven't been yet but heard it was good.Had to be the 666th review.??

The food has remained pretty consistent throughout my life as far as my memory serves. The fries maybe used to have more curlies in there and less ends, but overall the food has remained the same more or less. That said, my only complaints would be that, for the prices, I do wish they gave people more fries with the specials, and the fries should still be curly! They're called suzie-q fries. Also I wish that the thick Frappes were thicker. Otherwise, love this place, and always have. A pillar of the Merrimac community for sure.
Can’t beat Skips. A seasonal favorite of mine. Awesome burgers and fries.
A Merrimac institution. Best burger around? No, but not bad. Best fries or frappes? Nope, but again, not bad. Best place to get a burger and feel like you've stepped back 30 years? Absolutely. For the full effect eat in the orange linoleum cafeteria-inspired dining room or take your meal outside to the picnic tables.
