We all know what the food is like so there is no point in talking about that. After all, no one forces us to go there. The children most likely love it, their parents put up with it, and their grandparents hold their nose and have an ice cream. I find McDonald's expensive when you think of what you get, seven or eight euros for a poor hamburger, a soft drink, and fries, which more often than not, arrive cold. A menú del dia at ten euros is a much cheaper option. Anyway, what I am not sure about are the new kiosks that are slowly being put in all the restaurants, where you can order by choosing on the screen and even pay by card right there. Then the food is served at your table. I know that this is a way to get rid of workers, avoid paying overtime etc. but for a lot of older people the computer type, screen based system might put them off. But, then again, McDonald's has studied the market and most of the customers are not old. As I said above, the grandparents sit in horror at the sight of a hamburger and have, at the most, an ice cream.
