abundant dishes and homemade food. The place is cool, you can eat inside a tub. The only one but, being in the time we are, is that the bar waitress did not carry the mask on. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Las Extremanas:
We booked a table the day before without problems, we arrived and there was no menu the letter was not bad, the treatment attended by a very nice young man, the sandwiches well and the brava non bravo potatoes, we asked for some tears and the chicken already came to heaven, but they were very friendly and made us a French and invited tortillite coffee for sweetness and the good preparation of the hosteler. So we were looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant and we sure found it. Maybe a little too authentic. First of all, it was an absolutely adorable place. Also our waitress was very nice patient while we tried to decide what to eat. I just don't think we are authentic Spanish food fans, sorry. My daughter had breaded fish, except it was breaded with what looked like it's scales still on. I ordered beef thinking it would be a steak. I'm not sure what kind of meat it was but it didn't taste anything like any steak I've ever had. Our son had something with eyes still on it, and that is just a little too much for us.
This a bar/restaurant in Mérida tucked into a residential neighbourhood, not far from the Roman Theatre. The building is interesting once you are inside. However, the se3rvice was slow. It took nearly an hour to find out that they didn't have one of the items we had ordered. The food was OK, but certainly nothing special. I probably won't go back.
Not in the most touristic area, but in my opinion it is worth checking because Mérida is small wherever you stay, you can walk here. We (my pretty fussy two daughters) and I was looking for something to eat somewhere to visit the day. At first we went past the place, I was the one who dismissed him, but my elder said we should try it when it was Carnaval weekend and the center of the city was very busy. I would describe it as a gem, the prices are good, there is enough variety (Burger looked fantastic) and the staff is friendly. Perhaps the service could be a bit faster for some people, but you should not expect to order sometimes in places like this, where everything is cooked. Both my fussy daughters were well fed and the accounts with drinks came to 36 euros for the three of us.
We ordered the Pressa and chuletas Cordero, and can only say how fantastic it was. 4 glasses of wine, 1 brandy and bread. 39 €. Fantastic value. The waitress was nice and helpful. Very recommended.
