I had one of the the combo plates which consisted of longaniza, relleno negro, cochinita, and poc chuc everything was delicious! Also we washed our meals down with margaritas that were some of the better ones we've had in merida not to sweet and we could actually taste the tequila, delivering a nice buzz buzz after a few. Service was very attentive and I'm looking forward to returning for another meal
We used to come to Los Almendros always when in Merida. In the past three years we have gone to the Chaya Maya instead. We had Sunday lunch at los Almendros, what an enormous disappointment. We ordered the Mayan sampler. Not one of the four offerings that came with it tasted like anything, no flavor whatsoever. I asked for more sour orange to squeeze on the PocChuc, even then , it remained tough and flavorless. That evening we went to La Chaya Maya and had a wonderful dinner, my Mayan sampler was superb. We won’t ever return to los Almendros.
