Most local... read more The decor is simple but the food is excellent. The broiled fish platter was the best I had in Merida. It come with a green salad which was delicious. Most locals that were there ordered seafood cerviche.The locals eat the cerviche with corn chips. It looked great but we passed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat good seafood in a basic decor at a reasonable price..

My friend... read more The restaurant is kind of bare but you don't come for the decor, what you want is great food. Even though on a main street it is still kind of hidden. My friends and I ordered shrimp cocktails the sauce it came in was a bit powerful and dominated the shrimp even though they were large. Also ordered as an appetizer fried octopus ceviche very good. Then onto main meal lobster was ordered waiter brought out various fresh tails for us to chose from gorgeous large and fresh! Once choosen they were steamed and brought out with all the dips and garnish, rice and steamed vegetables accompanied it. Also ordered were shrimp battered in coconut and served on a coconut that inside had a warm delicious sauce kind of sweet,sour and mildly spicy I would say mango sweet and sour with a hint of orange juice and chipotle. Delicious! We all had a very nice white wine to go with our meal. My only complaint would be that the music is a bit loud and a tv was playing but muted. The place is like a long hall so all sounds are echoed carried throughout with the customers talking makes it a bit loud. Over all with great company and food you learn to block out the noise. The place is well air conditioned and that in this hot climate is a big plus!
