Was Teza McKenna at Souths Merewether a mag?
A fantastic club with a great community spirit. The food is incredible and occasionally they have some very good live music upstairs. The INXS Tribute show, ABBA tribute, and lots of local shows including Ty Penshorn his DIAMOND tribute show! . View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Souths Merewether:
First time there everything was fine (hence the stars) but the second time, the same meal made me sick and I had to go to the bathroom. The club itself is fine, the bistro there is terrible. My second time there I was sick minutes after leaving. View all feedback.

Attended for a birthday celebration. Waited an hour for food, called 4 times to be told sorry not ready yet. Then finally given cold, tasteless food where items wers still missing. No remorse from staff. First and last time. Very disappointing.
South's merewether is very disabled friendly has great parking and a great ramp not to steep for a wheelchair. Food is great to a mix of Asian and Australian. Little coffee place is great aswell .
I 'm a new member, having joined about 2 weeks ago. I tried to take advantage of the $5 discount at the bistro and ordered the hamburger which was one of the items on special. Unbeknown to me, this doesn 't apply to meals on the special list. It would have been appreciated if clearly indicated (in writing) saving the embarrassment of being informed very sternly that it wasn 't. Probably obvious to long term members but not for someone who struggled to read the distant chalkboard menu. On a positive note the burger was tasty, made with a large rissole which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst I was eating the kitchen staff of three sat down to the same burgers themselves, so I 'd suggest most likely very good quality.

The restaurant offers slightly more affordable alcohol options than usual, and the service provided by the excellent waitress is attentive and goes above and beyond. One of the chefs also stands out for their exceptional skills.
The staff and service at this restaurant are excellent, as well as the venue and the prices of coffee and drinks. However, it is not recommended for children in the evenings. I had the opportunity to see Heath Franklin's Chopper comedy act here, which was a world of difference from its previous performances. The advertising for the comedy show was a bit confusing and could be improved by clearly defining the target audience, as not everyone has Facebook.
There were steak options on the menu, the rump steak or the scotch fillet. As there was difference in the price I opted for the scotch fillet. When the food came I don't if the chef knew what a scotch fillet was as I got a very unchewable rump steak. That or the chef did not know I know my type of steaks.
