When we called, we expected to reach an answering machine, but instead, someone answered and was immediately unpleasant. If you don't want to deal with reservation calls at 8 AM, it's probably best to separate your business phone from your personal phone. Otherwise, you should be prepared for some early wake-up calls!

The people are so rude and unkind. Would not recommend even trying. Edited to add after owner replied: I 'm sure his wife does a damn good job but I 've never in my life experienced someone be so rude. Literally this is our conversation: Me: Hi, table for 3 please? Her: did you see the sign on the door? Me: no? Her: reservations only. Me: okay girls I guess we aren 't eating dinner tonight. Her: hahahaha (literally laughing as we left and I had to deal with little girls crying in the car) I understand restaurants are busy and understaffed but I had 2 little girls with me and we stopped at every single restaurant on the flowage all the way to ding a lings and places that should have been open were closed, loon days made every where only serve hotdogs, etc.. a little kindness and a pleasant greeting goes a long way. I was not offered a time to wait or a reservation for a later time when they were not so busy (4 people in the restaurant not a single person at the bar, while anticipating a big table). I wonder what would happen if a reservation for 4 came in with 7? Would they kick them out and laugh at them too? I checked on their Facebook and looked for a website, I read the reviews on Google, etc.. and there was no mention of reservations only. Therefore, I am not making a review on things I don 't know about, I am making a review on my experience and the way I was treated.

The standout feature of this restaurant is undoubtedly the Milky Way, a dessert drink that will keep you coming back for more. While they offer fantastic steaks, lobster specials, and a variety of classic supper club dishes, make sure to leave some room for a Milky Way or a Pink Squirrel! These drinks are the ultimate adult desserts—hard-packed vanilla ice cream is blended at the bar by Betsy, the owner and friendly bartender who’s a beloved staple at the Ding A Ling. The creamy concoction is served in a margarita glass, topped with a dollop of whipped cream, accompanied by a spoon and a short straw that doesn't do much but adds to the charm. This delightful Northwoods dessert will entice you to return, perhaps even the very next day! And let's not forget the fun "bat phone" at the bar—it’s all part of the experience!

The atmosphere is delightful, and the bar drinks are excellent. Both the bartender and server were incredibly attentive. Our meal was outstanding—so delicious! Each dinner comes with soup, salad, and a relish tray. I ordered the seafood platter, which featured a generous lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp, and scallops—everything I love! My husband opted for the ribs and chicken, and they were absolutely fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection! This has become our new favorite spot, and we will definitely be returning!

The manager followed us out if the restaurant asked if we were pleased with our dinner. We answered, yes. She then stated your tip was $20?. yes?. She then stated that was an unfair tip. We did not respond as she walked away. It really feels rude to attack our family dinner like that. It was a15 tip on our services. It was not a10 tip on a bill that included tax and credit card fees. We also were not 100 in love with our food, but didn?t complain either. A tip is a tip not a fee and I?ve never ever been treated like this at any restaurant ever!!!!!

Great service and so friendly. Well worth a trip for dinner.

The standout feature of this restaurant is definitely the Milky Way—a dessert drink that you'll want to come back for. These are truly some of the best adult treats you can find. The Milky Way is made with Hartpack vanilla ice cream blended at the bar, garnished by Betsy (the owner and bartender, who is always friendly) and served in a margarita glass.
