Italian aperitivos and all types of coffees, combined with fresh cake or a little snack, ice cream or just a beer.;;; anything goes. The 90 year old Darling has a bunch of young friendly waiters that know how to please and serve you. Go for a walk on the WInterpromenade and take a rest here. Enjoy !

Sitting outdoor would have a different feeling, close to the river and people walking around. We tried the Sachkercake and a chocolate one. Tastes were average.

What I liked was the menu had some light items on them, I chose a Piazetta Diavolo, and it was just the right size to take the edge off the hunger, but leave room for dessert. A Veneziano on the side, with some ice cold, frizzante Meranerwasser, and you have the ideal ingredients for a nice, long, easy, relaxed lunch. Our server (Petra) showed us to a nice shaded table, got a extra chair, took our order nice and quickly, and came back with the cold drinks, with a happy smile on her face. My little pizza was good, a hit of spice and heat, not too big, and well cooked. After completing the main course your mind wanders towards dessert, and I think I found the perfect antidote for a hot day. Nothing too fancy, natural yoghurt, freshly sliced fruit, and a scoop of lemon ice cream. Cool, light, cleansing and oh so tasty (I returned on another day just so I could have another one. This is where you want to be if you like people watching with a nice cold drink...
