Was User at Slacafé a mag?
The room is clean, relatively spacious, and offers plenty of natural light, making it a safe and comfortable place to stay. There is self-service coffee and tea available around the clock, and a Verve Coffee Stand right next to the building for those craving gourmet coffee and baked goods. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return the next time I'm in the Bay Area. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you v... View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Slacafé:
Re-opened with take-out service. Best to download the app. New exppresso bar, although the baristas are still in training. I had a great (5 star) breakfast sandwich. View all feedback.

Our second issue was the lack of sleep caused by the air conditioner, which made a constant scraping noise resembling gravel being shoveled. Additionally, the room across from us had a door that slammed shut every time it was closed, frequently waking us up. Thirdly, we found the vending machines to be broken, leaving us without any snacks. The 24-hour Pete’s Coffee also turned out to be disappointing, as it was just subpar vending machine coffee. Fourth, the concierge staff were simply bored students, lacking the helpfulness we expected. Fifth, while rooms are only cleaned every three days, we stayed for two and were left with an overflowing trash can and just a single small bar of soap. Lastly, we were informed that all rooms had handicap bars in the bathroom, which was not the case. My husband had to pull himself up from the toilet using the door handle and had to keep the bathroom door open to do so. Overall, it felt like The Stanford Guest House was poorly managed, and we have decided not to return.

There was one instance where I felt quite uncomfortable due to how I was treated. I shared my experience in a Google review and voiced my concerns. The person responsible for that situation reached out to me personally to address my concerns, which shows that they value me as a customer and are willing to communicate beyond just online comments. I've since updated my review, and I look forward to returning to this café for lunch. A big thank you to Stephen and the entire staff for making this place welcoming. Stephen's smile truly brightens everyone's day!
