The food was really good, drinks were good too! Service was quick, and easy. I was bummed though because we had originally planned to eat on the roof top, but we were told it was closed when we arrived. There isn’t anywhere on their website or reservations page that mentions the roof top being closed. In general, this is a fun little semi casual spot in Menlo Park to enjoy a yummy drink dinner. I would say this does... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about British Bankers Club:
The restaurant had a chilly atmosphere until the crowd showed up and it became very noisy. The cocktails were tasty, the lamb dish was beautifully creamy. However, the truffle fries were disappointing and lacked flavor. We requested a more private area to talk, but our conversation was constantly interrupted until we asked the waiter to give us some space. There is a fine line between attentive service and hovering.... View all feedback.
A hit or miss place. I love the patio when it's open. The cocktail menu is great but remained constant for years. The food recently took a significant turn for the worse. We had chicken and salmon. The fish was well prepared and the chicken was great. But... The presentation was terrible. The sauce was sweet and salty. The vegetables were saggy. The whole thing was simply not at the level that the prices implied. We have had better and worse experiences there. So, no consistency.
Decent food, good ambiance and service. We ordered medium rare salmon but it turned out to be quite well done. Otherwise, dishes were tasty and vegan options were available upon request.
We had a great time the food and service was fantastic
Very enjoyable dining experience. Four of us celebrating Stanford graduation and Fathers Day. We tried the short ribs with Yorkshire pudding, Sea Bass (Branzino) and Pork Sugo pasta. All meals were delicious and beautifully presented. The background music was calming and at the perfect level to allow easy conversation. Our waiter was attentive and made spot on recommendations. Margaritas and Old Fashioneds were tasty.
The food was well done, to the right balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The main downside is that it was a bit too salty.
