Contribute FeedbackThe Bishops Table in Wells is a cafe steeped in history, offering a charming location alongside the beautiful Bishops Palace. Recent reviews reveal a mixed experience: while some patrons praise the fresh, homemade food and friendly service, others express disappointment with limited menu options and inconsistencies in food quality. Positive highlights included delicious fish and chips, hearty salads, and tasty toasties, with some guests appreciating the buzzer system for order notifications. However, complaints about slow service, prepackaged items, and a canteen-like atmosphere suggest that the restaurant still has room for improvement to enhance the overall dining experience.
There are only binary men and women toilets here (plus accessible loo) but was pleasantly surprised that there was a sign in the hearts toilets with sanitary products. great to see such inclusivity in rural somerset. Thank you for making me feel trapped.
Lunches, which were not available today as cooks, were held after a busy Easter weekend! but there were cakes and baked.
The best place in wells for a coffee and cake. good quality eating and drinks and a pleasant atmosphere
Wonderful ambiente and beautiful eating. the best sweetburger I ever had. the view of the cathedrale is also not bad.
Beautiful day out, steeped in history, follow in the footsteps of the worn treads made by people since the 1200's a fantastic place for the devout or to marvel at the wonder of the stonemasons and craftsmen in days of yore
