Diners rave about the warm, delectable croissants and artisan baked goods, though some find the prices a bit steep for the portion sizes. The menu features various brunch options, showcasing local produce, but experiences with service can vary, particularly during busy times. While some dishes receive high praise, others may miss the mark. Overall, the unique ambiance and quality offerings make this spot a must-visit in Frome, despite mixed opinions on value.
The Rye Bakery in Frome has been a huge success, originally starting out as a cafe and bakery but eventually outgrowing its space for the bakery, which has since moved to the Station approach. However, the charming little cafe still thrives, offering superb coffee, delectable baked goods, and a delightful atmosphere in a converted old chapel. I highly recommend it. Every time we visit this restaurant, it is a wonderful experience. During our last visit, there was a bit of a delay with two items from our large order. When we inquired about it, the head chef was very apologetic and quickly resolved the issue. Additionally, he kindly offered everyone at our table a complimentary hot or cold drink, demonstrating excellent service recovery. This showed us how much Rye Bakery values their customers, and we will definitely be returning regularly. Bravo! The restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere and is highly recommended for families. For lunch, expect to pay between £10-20 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch with a rating of 5 each. Recommended dishes include the Mezze Bowl, Bakery items, and Shakshouka. Vegetarians will be delighted with the wide selection of vegetarian offerings, which come highly recommended.
The beef stew was incredibly tasty and my sister and brother enjoyed their semi-vegetarian meals as well. Thank you for the great service. We dined in for lunch and the price per person was between £1-10. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4 out of 5.
