We were going to be in Clarks... read more My husband received an offer of a bottle of Prosecco or two free desserts as a birthday treat from Prezzo (his birthday 6th Nov). We were going to be in Clarks Village the following day so we decided to book for a lunch time meal that day. We have had meals at many different Prezzo's, but I have to say this was the worst we have ever had, we both had the chicken Saltimbocco. The chicken was chewy, the white heart cabbage was a wedge that was so hard the knife could hardly cut it and the jus was like water. No matter we thought at least the desserts would be nice, which they were, as was the wine and coffees to follow. When the waitress brought the bill to the table my husband showed her the QR code which she tapped and we paid the bill then left. Today having found the bill, we noticed that the desserts were charged for, so much for a birthday treat. Sadly we wont be using Clarks Village Prezzo again.

The restaurant setting was lovely with room to walk to seats without disturbing other diners. Would not be as accessible for wheelchair users. The meals were delicious and service perfect. Unfortunately this ended when I came to pay the bill. I had not been informed that the venue was cashless. Payment would only be accepted by card. As the service users I support have learning difficulties they do not have access to bank cards. I explained this to the server who said I would have been told that it was card payment only when I arrived which hadn't been the case. I was able to pay by cash as authorised by the manager but would not be able to have any change. I left feeling very disappointed with Prezzo and will not be returning. The establishment cannot seem themselves as an inclusive dining establishment as there are plenty of service users whom cannot enjoy a meal at their restaurant due to being a cashless setting. It turned an enjoyable experience into an embarrassing one which left us paying more for our meals.

The restaurant was very busy during lunch, which caused a slight delay in service.
