The fact that the cafe was very busy did... read more We arrived for lunch during a week in early December when a number of groups were visiting for Christmas get togethers. The fact that the cafe was very busy did not pose a problem for the very friendly and efficient staff, who took our orders and served our food very quickly. The food itself (we had soup followed by carrot cake) was excellent, and very good value for money. NB: we had a similar lunch out in Bath the following day which cost a lot more and was nowhere near as nice. We'll definately come back next time we're in Shepton Mallet.

Lovely lunch. Lovely atmosphere.

The cheese... read more Lovely little café on the side of a well stocked deli in a pretty little high street. I had a 'cheese tea, ' a savoury take on the usual cream team. The cheese scone was home made, delicious and was served with butter, cream cheese and a choice of three chutneys. Along with a mug of tea, an absolute bargain price of £3.50. Note to owner charge more for this!! There was an easily accessible clean toilet facility. Service was friendly, solicitous and impeccable. Other meals served looked just as delicious. I was delighted to have found this gem of a café and cannot recommend highly enough.
