Description

Mad Hatters Restaurant presents a mixed bag of experiences for patrons. While some guests rave about its affordable and generous all-day breakfast options, complemented by friendly service and a cozy atmosphere, others express deep disappointment over cleanliness issues and unwelcoming staff. The café's reputation swings from delightful bites like the full English breakfast and delicious sandwiches to concerns about hygiene, including visible flies and sticky surfaces. Despite the mixed reviews, it remains popular with locals for its reasonable prices and hearty portions—but improvements in decor and cleanliness could enhance its overall appeal.

True to its name, Mad Hatters Restaurant disappoints. One major red flag is that you can't even see inside the cafe. The unwelcoming locals and staff make for a disgusting and sticky environment, not to mention the hoard of flies buzzing around. The atmosphere was so bad that we had to leave. This place is in dire need of a health inspection, and it wouldn't be surprising if it were shut down.

I don't understand the negative reviews I've seen here. We had an amazing breakfast at Mad Hatters. Everything on the table only cost us £26! There wasn't a hint of grease, and making bubble and squeak can be tricky but they got it perfect. The food was plentiful, piping hot, and served on huge, hot plates. The prices are great, the staff are super friendly (they didn't mind when we customized our orders), and the chef even came out to check on us and chat. The decor might need a bit of updating and some air conditioning would be nice, but if you want a tasty and affordable breakfast, you can't go wrong with Mad Hatters.

Fantastic breakfast! My friend Tom raved about the full English, saying it was the best he's had in a long time. He couldn't stop talking about it all day. I would definitely recommend it, 10/10. I didn't get a chance to try the trifle, but I would come back just to give it a shot (note the sarcasm in every word).

This cafe was so dirty, looked like a lot of regulars, was noisy and the conversations in there was vile, emma was all over the chef how dusgusting. Dirty cuttery, food was cheap and so greasy, took ages to get anything and the attitude of them all was horrible. Will never return to this so much bettet elsewhere.

Reasonably priced café that does all day breakfasts and other choices Everything is cooked from fresh so when they are busy tings can take some time Small place inside but a few tables outside and they do takeaways too Order and pay at the counter and the food and drinks are bought to you Used by locals I was visiting for the day
