Before entering the Wells Cathedral we stopped at the Market place Cafe for a quick bite for lunch. It was humming! Full of happy looking people, great staff and a good selection from the menu. I tried the soup of the day, carrot and coriander. Delicious and reasonably priced. View all feedback.
What ClaireEllenSmith doesn't like about Crofters:
We came here for an icecream one afternoon in August. It said online that they were part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, but we were charged full price and when we asked about it they said they weren't doing it. Perhaps they should make this clear before you order. Nevertheless, the icecream was nice. View all feedback.
Stopped here for coffee and cake on market day, great little cafe for people watching. Cake was delicious and the table next to us had ordered goat cheese jacket potatoes which looked lovely. Highly recommend for a good coffee stop right opposite the fountain
Here's a great place for lunch. Friendlly staff, home cooked food a good choice of cakes. The ham, egg chips was excellent.
We visited on spec for lunch between Christmas and New Year. We were greeted and asked to complete track and trace info. The door was left open so good for air circulation so both good in Covid times. We opted for the specials board BLT...

Good value, very helpful and friendly and a great location right by the Bishop's Palace and the Cathedral, with seating outside in a pedestrian area.
