What User doesn't like about Garys Seafood:
I have always been satisfied with the quality of the crab and shrimp from this restaurant. This week, I noticed a sign advertising crabs (approximately 220 grams) for $24.99 per kilogram. I decided to buy two, as my wife makes a dish called crab piclau that combines crab with rice. When I approached the owner, he promptly charged me $50. I decided to buy two, as my wife makes a dish called crab piclau that combines crab with rice. When I approached the owner, he promptly charged me $50. I pointed out that the sign clearly stated $24.99 per kilogram, but he insisted that the price was $24.99 for the whole crab. He then claimed the sign was incorrect and removed it without offering any apology, and his demeanor was rather brusque.
I purchased baby octopus to prepare for my children’s lunch, but when I opened the bag, the smell was awful—probably indicating it was expired by at least a week. When I asked the salesperson for advice on which fish to choose, they seemed to assume I didn’t know anything about seafood and ended up selling me the expired octopus! I ended up returning it, and I will never visit that fish shop again. I definitely do not recommend it!
Dreadful hot chips, soggy and clear were understated and sitting there for one
I've gotten grilled fish or a fish burger from here for a couple of years as I don't really like any of the other eatery places and I'm trying to eat healthy food. The grilled fish and salad cost $14 which is pretty expensive for a small piece of fish and just a pretty ordinary salad. Last time I went which was this week, they didn't even ask me what salad, or if I wanted dressing and it took about 15mins to make. Ridiculous, they also told me they had no sparkling water even though I could see it in the fridge. I didn't say anything cause I didn't want to give them anymore of my money.Definitely won't bother going there ever again. Very disappointed.
Great service that is quick, efficient, and friendly, along with fresh and high-quality food.
