Red Hook Cajun Seafood (jackson)

Fantastic Asian-Cajun style seafood. I liked their interior design and thought they did a good job. Almost felt like eating ?under the sea.? I enjoy spice and has high tolerance so I got spice level of Hot, and it was just adequate for me. I decided to go for a classic seafood of my choice: 2 lb of crawfish and 1/2 lb of potatoes. It was a filling size for a man of 220 lbs. Unlike other bettery Asian-Cajun places, they poured out the savory contents onto the metal plate. I believe the price is pretty standard across this type of restaurants, so it really comes down to the difference in individual experiences such as customer service, taste, and environment. Will not be going back to this location EVER! Most of the time the food is decent? but this was the absolute last straw for us, the bag of shrimp they gave me looked like a half pound instead of 1lb, told the cashier her response was ?it?s 1lb they weigh it and if I take it back they?re going to bring the same amount?. On top of that, idk what type of sauce they gave me but it wasn?t Cajun at all, the shrimp was very mushy and overcooked, disgusting?overall, and also gave me a headache after eating. My mother got the Sunday special and her food was just as bad?. This place use to be good but now it?s a waste of money. Also the workers they have at the front aren?t very helpful at all? everybody just stands around on their phones and look crazy ? don?t offer to help or anything.. again we won?t be back at all.

Order extra SAUCE! I purchased a 1/2 snow crab, broccoli, and corn. For me, a boil bag is supposed to Be really saucy and this was wasn?t. After ordering one extra sauce I was good to go. The food was cooked well and my strawberry mimosa was tasty! I noticed how clean it was and how helpful all of the staff was to each other. Giving it 3 stars because of the lack of sauce and smaller crab legs.

Very fresh seafood..me n my friend had the Monday deals..n togo a Tuesday deal for her sister..will definitely be back again!..unfortunately me n my friend devour all our food before I remember the pics but still got the pic for the togo order! A shout out to Mr Tyrone Carrick,the Mgr who has such good customer service n solve the issue I had with my bill! TQ!

Ok the food here was very well prepared and the sevice was pretty good. I think i misunderstood the ordering bc i wanted more snow crab than shrimp and had waaayyy too much shrimp and not enough snow crab! That being said it was very reasonable and they let you order whatever day fits your hunger! Again the food was real good, well prepared and reasonably quick. Will return if in the area!
