I asked one of the hotel workers for a proposal for seafood. "Where are you going to eat?" he said to us marmalade, where we should go. a bit from the lip of the beale road, and seemed that there are mainly locals. the okra was the sky, like everything else on the menu. what else you can really say if you like soul food, take some time away from beale road and don't give it a miss when in memphis.

I had the best freshly fried catfish I've tasted in years! The meal came with three sides: a delicious pickled slaw, hot fried okra served with an incredible dip, and black-eyed peas with jalapeños. We ended the meal with homemade peach cobbler. If you enjoy home-cooked meals, this is definitely the place to be!
The atmosphere is enhanced by a cozy small bar and walls adorned with memorabilia celebrating Memphis music. Most weekends, they feature live music that comes straight from the soul, a far cry from the performances typically found in the clubs on Beale Street. This is genuine Memphis soul, not a tourist-friendly version. As a family-owned establishment, Marmalade is a hidden gem that many tourists overlook simply because it's not located on Beale. However, a short drive will take you to the heart of Memphis, where you can enjoy an authentic, soulful, and welcoming dining experience.
This restaurant is in the city, and I had never visited it and had heard nothing. I had seen it several times and I had always tried. we were in the opposite, looking for a place to eat. the parking space we found was right in front of us, so we decided to try it even though the parking space was empty. the reviews online are actually 4 and 5 stars. it was also 9 o'clock in the night, so it made sense that there were not many people there. it is a South Eat, so of course makkaroni and cheese as well as spaghetti are considered a sweet. our server was super friendly. we all ordered the southern fried chicken. we have varied in our sweetness. the server tried hardcore to sell us the pfirsichcobbler. when the first person in our party ordered, she asked if she wanted to kiss a bone-in cup. She said maybe after eating. we got popcorn while we waited. it was actually a long waiting period, but it was worth it. I'm sure they cook literally after their order. our server has constantly checked for us and kept our pitchers of water full. Finally, our food came out. I ordered a wing and a thigh, and they came with mini-massbread muffins. for my sweetheart I ordered greens and mac and cheese. Of course, someone ordered the spaghetti vegetables. everything was delicious. I was stuffed after the meal, so I wanted to pass on the peach basket. but the server was insistent. she talked about how one time a table of 6 and each one double ordered, so they ran out, and another table was jealous. after that, a person in our party decided to order them, and we all tried them. it was really good. the service is really good and the server was really funny without being significant. she was extra careful to make sure everyone got his order and we had everything. When she brought us our credit card receptions, she told each one of us how to fill in the entrance. she pointed to the top and the pie was ours. what made it funny was that she did it to each of us individually. she was very thorough, but attentive. I recommend this place definitiw. it has a beautiful charm and good food.
