Maciel's Tortas Tacos (downtown）

Love this place makes me remember when living Mexico

HOUSE-MADE chips are great! Walked from the hotel for an early dinner. Had Cheese dip and then fried tacos with refried beans. Too much food but I ate it all, for under $20 with a drink. Rice was exceptional, particularly with some added cheese dip.

I stumbled upon this place while walking down the street in Memphis. After eating BBQ for two days straight, I went for Mexican and it was excellent. I actually got the frajitas and it was a very good choice. I would come back in a second.

This is the best and I mean the best place for Mexican food. From the tacos to the chicken soup oh my God. It's good and very filling. The guacamole is the best made fresh and not smashed. I haven't tried the tomales but, it is next.

I’ve become a regular since moving nearby. The fried tacos are great and my boyfriend loves the Fortas. Some of the best queso I’ve ever had! Also, their soup is perfect for a chilly day. The people who work there are super friendly and seem happy every time I come in, it has a great atmosphere. There’s a reason the line goes out into the street at lunch time!
