The portion sizes are a bit small, but the food tastes pretty good. I wish the side dishes were bigger since they are shared at the table. The prices are decent and the service is good overall, so thumbs up from me!Food: 5/5 View all feedback.

Me and my husband went to this restaurant today. We both shocked how expensive of their food are. I mean we have been to so many places tried so many different Korean restaurant. But never had one experience like this. Five pieces regular beef cost us $26. And a small plate of chicken cost around $16. And at the end, they charged us 18% of tips automatically without telling us. 7/27 update: I changed my review from o... View all feedback.
One standout dish is their stew with cod roe, which I absolutely love! It has a wonderful savory flavor, and they always cook the vegetables to perfection. I usually ask for it to be prepared on the milder side since Koreans often enjoy very spicy food. Even when it’s spicier than my preference, it’s still fantastic. I typically eat about three-quarters of it and save the rest for another meal, adding white rice to finish off all the deliciousness. I highly recommend DWJ. Give it a try; you won’t be disappointed!
I did notice that for the four of us, we only received four side dishes, which is less than what I'm typically accustomed to at Korean restaurants. However, it worked out since my family is still getting used to Korean flavors and dishes. There were plenty of food options, and the service was fast and courteous. The bathroom was clean and had a pleasant scent. The entire restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and was well-maintained. The owner was incredibly kind! As a student learning Korean, I approached them with my hesitant language skills, and they were very sweet and accommodating. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you!
DWJ is our favorite spot for Korean barbecue in the Memphis area. They have just one server, and she does an excellent job! It's important to note that they have signs posted indicating that an automatic gratuity is added to all orders, whether dining in or carrying out. We really enjoy the bulgogi and ribs. Tonight, we decided to try the kimbap appetizer, which resembles a sushi roll made with kimchi.
Update on July 27th: I have changed my review from one star to three. It seems that this restaurant isn't the only overpriced Korean option in town; I've noticed the same issue at Asiana Garden. I suppose this pricing is simply part of the culture for Korean restaurants here in Memphis.
The food was absolutely delicious! The ambiance was just right, with a great soundtrack featuring songs from BTS, EXO, Everglow, and ATEEZ. I really enjoyed my time there. Our food took about 20-30 minutes to arrive, and we were welcomed and served attentively.
