**Dining at Delta's Kitchen: A Mixed Bag of Experiences** Located within The Guesthouse at Graceland, Delta's Kitchen has garnered a variety of reviews from patrons. While some guests rave about the exceptional menu, particularly the succulent tomahawk steak and melt-in-your-mouth salmon, others express disappointment over lukewarm dishes and inconsistent service. Was Maria S at Delta's Kitchen a mag?
We stayed at the Guesthouse for 3 nights and ate dinner here on 2 of those nights. Both times were absolutely delicious! I can't eat mushrooms and on both occasions the chef swapped it out with another vegetable for me. It was very much appreciated. The frenched chicken had a crispy coating and was juicy inside. The gnocchi was heaven! We had breakfast here each morning and found the yoghurt in the parfait very sweet... View all feedback.
What Smaaaarty dislikes about Delta's Kitchen:
My wife and I visited this restaurant while staying at The Hotel at Graceland, and we decided to try the breakfast buffet for $21. I started with fresh fruit, while my wife went for the hot dishes. My wife and I visited this restaurant while staying at The Hotel at Graceland, and we decided to try the breakfast buffet for $21. I started with fresh fruit, while my wife went for the hot dishes. The fruit was tasty, but my wife quickly informed me that her food was cold. She flagged down a waiter to address the issue, and he took her plate to discuss it with the kitchen staff. They claimed that the food was so hot it had burned her finger, suggesting she was mistaken and implying she was dishonest in front of other patrons. I then requested to speak with the manager, but he didn’t seem very apologetic about the situation. Ultimately, we decided to leave without paying, feeling frustrated and disappointed. We won’t be coming back.
The restaurant is pleasant and well-maintained. The staff was excellent. We opted for the breakfast buffet, but unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm. On the bright side, the buffet offered a good selection of dishes. My son ordered an à la carte omelet, which was a generous portion and served hot; he enjoyed it. A goblet of water cost $2.75. When I made my reservation at the Guesthouse at Graceland, I was informed that the breakfast buffet was priced at $16, but it actually turned out to be $21.99, which I found to be quite steep and not worth it, especially since the food was not hot. I would suggest skipping the breakfast buffet and ordering from the menu instead.
The breakfast buffet was fantastic! The grits were buttery and served hot, and everything was fresh and delicious!
We stayed at the Guesthouse at Graceland and our family had dinner here. The three important take-aways were 1) the food is really good, 2) there is no kids menu, and 3) the staff is polite and attentive, but very new or not fully trained. While the kids were able to get some decent food that they enjoyed, there is not a specific selection for kids. The drinks were good, but it was very obvious that they were not familiar with any of our choices. The martini came in a whiskey glass and the champagne came in a red wine glass (see pic). The did not know what a pinot noir was; we had to point to it on the menu. That said, the staff was very nice and attentive and we really appreciated the accomodations of a party of 7.The food was great all around, though! I had the salmon over spinach with sweet potato crisps and it was great.
