Nestled in a bustling neighborhood, this restaurant offers a mixed dining experience marked by decent comfort food overshadowed by service concerns. While some patrons rave about the outstanding flavors of dishes like fried pork chops and macaroni and cheese, others are disappointed by cold offerings and lackluster ambiance. The staff's attitudes vary significantly, with some diners lamenting rudeness and condescension. Although the cleanliness and ample parking are highlights, the need for management improvement and an inviting atmosphere remains evident. Despite the flavorful potential, many guests hope for a more respectful and uplifting dining experience.
This is the best hidden gem I have visited in a while. The staff were friendly and respectful. The food was incredible. I ordered the fried pork chops, macaroni and cheese, and the best greens I have ever had. The restaurant's appearance may not be the best, but the food was outstanding.
I wish good luck to all customers at this location who are seeking comfort food. Overall, the restaurant needs better management and the staff can come across as condescending. The food is decent, but the parking lot requires immediate maintenance. Additionally, the employees seem overworked and underpaid. The atmosphere inside is dark and could benefit from better lighting. I regret ignoring warnings about this place and feel disrespected as a customer. Despite some attractive staff, their attitudes do not align with good business practices. I hope for more positivity and understanding in the black community.

I?m new to Memphis. This food is amazing! Eat here anytime you possibly can. My coworker suggested it to Amy and I want there to get lunch today. I will definitely go back.
Came around 4pm barely any options. Only thing we ate were the yams. Cold fried chicken, smothered chicken wasn?t good either only dark meat available. Person who served us our food was rude. The Mac and cheese wasn?t good either it was like slop. Nastyafter taste. Corn muffin/bread whatever you want to call it was burnt not good. Disappointed in the soul food here, I love soulfood its one of my favorite dishes and this wasn?t it.
