Chick-fil-a - Memphis
Chick-fil-a
Description
Chick-fil-A’s Union location remains a popular spot known for consistently fresh, flavorful food, especially their spicy chicken sandwich and salads. Despite its reputation for efficient service and well-managed, bustling drive-thru lines, recent experiences reveal a decline in customer service quality. Patrons report slow or disorganized curbside pickup, occasional missing or incorrect items, and less enthusiastic staff. Though the employees generally remain professional and friendly, some service lapses and cleanliness issues have been noted. While long waits are common due to high traffic, the food quality largely meets expectations, keeping loyal customers returning despite the growing frustrations.

This Chick-fil-A on Union Avenue really needs to improve. My salad didn't even have a whole filet in it. The staff were out of uniform, and I was missing essential condiments and cutlery. This isn't just a one-time issue; every time I've visited this location, there has been a problem. Overall, I'm giving the food a 3 out of 5.
The food is consistently excellent—always hot and very fresh. This location tends to be busy, so expect a wait of over 20 minutes in the drive-thru, but it's definitely worth it. However, the service has declined quite a bit; it's not as friendly or welcoming as it used to be.
The service was awful. I placed an online curbside pickup order and arrived to wait outside for a while. The order status indicated that someone was on their way to bring my order out, but after a long wait, I decided to go inside and let the cashier know I was still waiting. She checked and said there was no order under my name, even after I showed her my confirmation. I asked another cashier, and it turned out my order had been sitting on the counter the whole time. This reflects a serious lack of customer service and attention. Now my daughter's lunch break is over, all because they didn’t take the time to look.
I absolutely love Chick-fil-A when it comes to fast food, and I'm definitely not alone in that sentiment. If you visit any Chick-fil-A during lunch hours, you'll be amazed by the long drive-thru lines and how efficiently they're managed. Since the start of COVID, they primarily switched to drive-thru service, although the dining area is open again now, I believe. Their ability to handle large queues of cars has really reached a whole new level. This particular location is just like any other Chick-fil-A, with all the deliciousness you expect. I ordered a Southwest Salad through the drive-thru, and it was perfect for my lunch.
They function like a well-oiled machine, with each employee working diligently to manage the flow of customers and take orders quickly and efficiently. Everyone was very professional and friendly. My only issue was that, despite their hard work, we ended up missing a few items from our order and received one or two things incorrectly. It was such a bustling place that we couldn't go back to address it, but it wasn’t anything too significant that we couldn’t handle.
