I want to give this place 5 stars, but the entrée I got, Tagliatelle Bolognese, just wasn't that good, it was only ok. Our waitress was perfect though, and let me get something else. Everything else, including the snacks and desert was awesome. View all feedback.
What mark b doesn't like about Catherine Mary's:
We ordered two entrees and an appetizer. All food was room temperature to lukewarm. The marinara sauce was cold. One of the bartenders was obviously on something. His pupils were huge and he couldn’t stop fidgeting with everything. The place looked like a restaurant moved into a condemned building. Way over priced for dive bar atmosphere. Do not recommend. Always excellent food. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere, delish cocktails and food.
A nice restaurant with good-size entree portions and great service. We got the chicken breast and pork shank which were HUGE and tasty.

They describe themselves as a southern take on Sicilian cuisine. It’s a gem in the downtown area. A very chic interior with a vibrant, and laid back ambiance. The service was a bit slow however I don’t complain as we enjoyed the time a lot. We started with some fried mozzarella and cornbread with. They were just okay. The cocktail was great and I felt a kick. The little gem salad was really a gem with the leafy refreshing green, crunchy prosciutto and sweetness from the pear and grapes. I simply loved it. Moving on in the main entree I got casarecce which was absolutely terrific. Hand crafted pasta with a mind blowing tomato based sauce, pancetta, spicy Serrano pepper and some Parmesan all together they created the magic. To end my meal I ordered an affogato, which was pretty decent. Overall, a very good meal and a cool dine out experience. Try to reserve ahead as they are quite popular.
