Once I arrived there, I was told that the only way... read more On December 12th, 2023, I went to Buckley’s Grill at 5355 Poplar Memphis, TN 38119. At approximately 7:55pm. Once I arrived there, I was told that the only way I could do a To-Go order was if I sat down and ordered a meal also. I agreed to it and proceeded to the table. I ordered a glass of water, Chicken Pasta, and Cheese bread to eat while I was there. The waiter asked me what my To-Go Order was. I told her a Chicken Pasta and a Ribeye well done. I received all my food, proceeded to eat a little and got full so I asked for a box so that I could put the rest of what I was eating in it. The waiter then gave me a box and the receipt. My total was $142.13. I then added the tip and rounded it off to $150.00. I was at the restaurant approximately 30/40 minutes. Once I exited the restaurant the man at the front who sits guest followed and stalked me all the way to my vehicle and told me that I was banned and that I couldn't come back. I asked why and he stated that because I only tipped her $7 something and that I didn't make her Christmas great and that because of that I couldn't come back. I then stated what do you mean I paid for my food, and I also tipped. He stated again that he has me on camera and that since I didn't tip her much that I am banned and that I can't come back. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the horrible customer service I received tonight. No one else was there during the time I was there, was watched like me that I noticed.

I would definitely visit again.

For years we have heard of buckleys grill, but thought there are more beautiful places to go for steaks. we now understand why it has such a big call under long... read more For years we have heard of buckleys grill, but thought there are more beautiful places to go for steaks. we now understand why it has such a big call under long memphians. this is an unpretentious, basic, right-wing local gem. it looks like a small place, the best steak place in a converted pizza hat. parking surrounds the place so no problem there. the atmosphere is a mixture of low light, vinyl topped tables, with nice distance and in case that their conversation slow, there are a few tvs to see the mains channel. the cocktail,- beer and wine menu is limited, but diverse. our server was timely, attentive, friendly and scheduled the meal right. we started with the bacon jam app. then caesar and wedge salate. we ordered the low country filet that contains garnel, filet and framed spinat plus green beans. the salads were fresh and delicious, the bacon jam was a nice app, but the crostinis were cooked directly without being burned. it was uniquely good. our shares were cooked as ordered. the garnels pour, spinach and green beans were all good. here is a note, nothing had an overwhelming taste, heat or let me leave blown away. it is unfair to compare this with folks folly, flemmings, capital grill and the high cost steakhouses. compare are more like the side porch. good eating, friendly people, clean and comfortable space for a reasonable price. it is a place I would return for good eating at a beautiful place.

We went in he said he had a booth ready for us and we chose to sit at the bar and we are so glad we did. Michelle was absolutely amazing andwe felt more like we were at a friend's house than a restaurant. The food was amazing but the service was even better. We willdefinitely be back and we will sit at the bar. She loves her job and her customers even more and it shows all the way.
