We loved Alcenia?s. From the moment we walked in we knew we found where we needed to be. We were greeted by BJ with a hug and then kiss on the head. Service was friendly and always making sure we were doing ok. I just went with the suggestions that were given and I wasn?t led astray. Possibly the best catfish I've ever had in my life. There's a jukebox with 45s. Service is great. Everything was great. We bought her cookbook, too. Highly recommended.
Amazing! My eggs were just as I ordered the grits were spot on! The best breakfast place in Memphis. We came here for breakfast and it was amazing! I had scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and a waffle! I ate more than I probably should have, but it was divine! My fiancé got an omelette and he cleaned his plate! I would definitely recommend this place to any visitor!
You never disappoint me, Google friends...what a find. This is not a place to grab a quick bite (we were there well north of an hour), but it is a place to feel like you accidentally just stumbled into a grandmother's kitchen, and she's gonna feed you like you belonged there the whole time. Saturday brunch was killer.
This is one of the best soul food spots in town great service as well awesome.
