This has always been my favorite Ethiopian restaurant. The vegetarian combo is amazing, so flavorful. I have enjoyed every meat dish I've had there as well but I love all the veggies so much I usually get the vegetarian combo. The spaghetti dish is easily another favorite. What Alissa Patterson doesn't like about Abyssinia Ethiopian:
If you have been to ethiopia, you know that this food is not exactly ethiopian. Customer service is lacking. Judging from what's on this menu and what we got and our interaction with the owner, I believe it is not run by Ethiopians. Or at least someone who is knowledgeable enough to cook real ethiopian food. View all feedback.
They do not make the food fresh. I will never go back. The staff is nice though.

I have been coming here for years and LOVE this restaurant. Authentic food and the family here is so sweet. Definitely a hidden jewel here in Memphis. I always come eat here when I come to town!
