As an employee of this restaurant, I want to address the recent review that claimed the fish was terrible and that someone called the shop only to hang up. This information is completely false. The review was written from a fake account and seems to have originated from someone who has a personal grievance. I encourage those who leave reviews to act responsibly and allow genuine feedback from real customers to reflec... View all feedback.
What Ben Merton doesn't like about Boomerang Fish Chips:
We had a terrible experience at Melton Seafood. The fish we received was greasy and had a foul smell; it was heavily battered and not enjoyable at all. It might be worth it to change the oil occasionally to improve the quality of the food. When we called to address our concerns, a man on the other end claimed we must have the wrong restaurant and then hung up on us. The owner was extremely disrespectful, making loud... I have bought her fish chips and souvlaki since about 2016. I live in point cook, but are working in melton for most days. they serve the best fishing and chips I had for a long time and I am happy to travel from point cook if I don't work to order their food because it is by far the best in the west! I also saw that the owner gave an old homeless dame a few dollar chips and 3 kartoffel cake and she had no money to pay, he told her that she could pay next time. I gave him the money for them, but his gesture was far beyond what they expect nowadays. great food-sized service great people?
They have to try their burgers. if you've ever wondered what happened to georges burgers in bacchus marsh, you know. Since then bacchus marsh george, mrs. george and even george jnr took over the melton fish and chip store, it painted bright yellow outside and its best burger and chips a little closer to the melbourne cbd. if they like the old Aussie burger, they think botschaft taxi, or the iconic rustic burger of seymour (gone? , then they find it worth the trip out, or the branch down, along meltons main road. and the prices are extremely reasonable as a hamburger with the lot at george’s is cheaper than the grundburger at many other city. we ate our burgers at the tables outside, and in about 30 minutes I counted no less than nine employees from the local council, and at least eight lkw through the door for a meal. must be good. look for the yellow shopfront near the pedestrian crossing on the northern side of the road.

I’m one of the staff members who has been working there all week, and I have to say that the previous review claiming their fish was terrible and that it was poorly prepared is completely misleading. The reviewer clearly has no understanding of how busy we are and the effort we put into our food. It would be great if people took the time to write genuine reviews based on real experiences rather than baseless complaints.
We had a terrible experience at Melton Seafood. The fish was awful, greasy, and overcooked, as if they haven't changed their oil in ages. When we called to complain, one of the staff insisted they had made a mistake, but then abruptly hung up on us. After waiting for 15 minutes, we encountered a rude owner who made disrespectful comments. My wife even quoted John, the owner, as his behavior was truly unacceptable. This review doesn't capture the full extent of how disappointing our visit was. We won't be returning to Melton Seafood—Ben and Jade Merton, first and last customers.
