Everybody who have been to Vietnam knows that the food is amazing. The freshness and crispyness of many of the dishes give a superb dimension to the most basic dish. So was not the case with VietWok. The spring rolls were very good, nice and crispy. Had there been more fresh herbs like coriander, mint, dill and bean spouts it would have been excellent! The satay skewers were also good, with a distinct taste of the marinade coriander seeds? . The peanut sauce was on the mild side. Vietnamese duck was crispy, but the vegatables in the thick soy sauce dissapointing. We have experienced and heard about the lack of spicyness when the oriental dishes are adapted norwegian palate. So we asked for spicyness as in Vietnam. The duck was ok, but the beef with bamboo normally a fairly mild dish was total mayhem. Same sauce as with the duck, but too hot to enjoy. So be careful if you request spicyness... We wont do it again. Friendly service. To sum up: it could have been so much better by going back to the basics of vietnamese cuisine. Less dishes better quality
