Typical local pasta (freshly made) and meat, served with simple and delicious ingredients. The antipasto is so big that it makes the entire meal, if you would like to have a pasta or meat, skip the antipasto. The served Aglianico, even though made by the owner, is not among the best.

I had made an effort, as the owner also tried to do, to please my wife with vegetarian dishes, which shouldn't even be requested (a restaurant should be able to satisfy all the diners who sit at its tables, but oh well). My commitment was there, the owner's commitment too. But something didn't work. Quite a nice, rustic place. Very courteous waiter. The sore point? The food. Not everything they served us was to our liking (to tell the truth, not everything was edible). Typical first course (strascinati alla Lucana) very very salty, presented with a burnt crusco pepper to say the least. Second course of meat also very salty and with pieces of meat that are not exactly tender. Typical dishes on the menu not available (without notification). Overall, a fairly negative experience. We definitely won't recommend it and won't be going back

The first courses are all with fresh pasta and local products, the second course I took was the stracotto and it was delicious, cooked well and very tender. The cod with crusco pepper, on the other hand, was cooked well but immersed in a bath of oil and not very related to the pepper, placed on top only to give the dish its name. The environment is not the best with the table tops raised above the rest of the place, and the acoustics of the upstairs amplify the noises from the nearby tables too much. For the rest, nothing to say, even about the bill: 1 first course, 2 second courses, side dishes, water and 2 glasses of wine €51. Considering the price, the fact that it is located in the center and the quick service it is recommended, but you have to be careful what you order.

We were looking for a place to eat and passing through a street we came across this tavern. The choice could not have been more appropriate! The Lucanian flavors that I was focusing on were right in those dishes and bite after bite I fell in love with them! Highly recommended
