We really enjoyed our brunch experience at third wave cafe. We ordered the spicy ratatouille baked eggs and chilli scrambled eggs which came with their speciality Oink balls. Both were delicious! So much so that we went back the very next day for lunch. I love that this restaurant uses the best quality local ingredients. It has a nice cosy feel and the staff are always nothing but super friendly! View all feedback.
What Sonya Breitenberg dislikes about Third Wave Cafe Port Melbourne:
This restaurant is not serving American BBQ. The food is dry, tasteless, and lacks any smoky flavor. Even cat food would taste better. When I raised my concerns to the staff, they simply blocked me to avoid a negative review. It seems like their only specialty is third wave coffee. View all feedback.

Adam Richman would absolutely adore this place. The burgers and ribs are sensational, in fact, everything on the menu is fantastic!
I recently visited this restaurant for the fourth time and I can't get enough! Their slow-cooked American BBQ ribs and brisket are the best I've ever had. The sauces are delicious, and the sides like pancetta peas and glazed mushrooms are also fantastic. I always end up ordering more than I can finish because everything looks so tempting!
This place is expensive for what you get. If the food was a wow you probably wouldn't think much of it but what we had just was a bit lacking in taste and seasoning. We had a late lunch here - Green Eggs off the breakfast menu and one of the burgers. The eggs particularly had potential but needed a bit more finessing - especially paying $22 for it. It was just a bit bland. I would. Would come back for a take away coffee but that's it unfortunately.
We actually came across Third Wave by accident when we found our usual BBQ place was closed for lunch. It's a busy little place, so you need to think about booking, but we got lucky with a table. Great American style burgers, brisket, chicken with lots of different sides available. didn't get to try their fries as their fryer broke down that day, but we'll have a go next time. The staff were pleasant and attentive.
