Was Andrew B at Strozzi a mag?
Strozzi is situation in a Grande old building at 333 Collins street. The setting is fabulous, and I can recommend the Italian scrambled eggs. Also have a good coffee there, and the location is perfect for both business and pleasure right in the heart of the CBD. View all feedback.

What Diane C dislikes about Strozzi:
My friend and I went for coffee here this morning and it was ok, nothing special. When I paid with a 10 dollar note no change was offered which took me aback somewhat as $5 for a milk coffee is getting up there. When I checked the price on the way out I saw that it was $4.50, expensive enough. I believe it to be the height of arrogance for the wait staff to just assume no change is necessary . We won't ever be return... View all feedback.

Great atmosphere. Exceptional and polite service. Today"s pasta special of penne was delicious and the serving was enormous. Great place to lunch with professional contacts. I was thoroughly impressed and will be back

Golden Oldie from when the world was a different place and lunches were longer. A favourite haunt for coffee and talking business. Just make sure business is done by 4pm because it’s closing time.

Great coffee and food but really come for the grandeur and personal service

This restaurant, located on Collins Street, offers a mixed experience according to various reviews. While some patrons found the prices to be high and the portions to be lacking, others praised the quality of the food, particularly dishes like the Italian Penne Sausage and the salmon salad. The service received mixed feedback, with some highlighting slow service and a lack of smiles from staff, while others enjoyed the friendly service and overall ambiance. Despite differing opinions, many customers appreciated the location of the restaurant and found it to be a good spot for business meetings or casual lunches. Overall, it seems that this restaurant has its pros and cons, but may be worth a visit for those looking for a nice meal in a convenient location.

I am a regular at Strozzi and this is the first time I have taken to review this institution or any other. Firstly when I do go in for coffee throughout the day (if I am fortunate to find a table my coffee has arrived on miracle time. It is always consistent and I struggle to find a comparable coffee locally on weekends. Now for lunch... all the pasta is genuinely home made (unlike so many restaurants that claim that their pasta is home made! . The gnocchi and ravioli are to die for! Stop looking at other places this place is the real deal! Enjoy!

Have been here a number of times and the breakfasts and always very good. The menu has a good range of options, both food and drink and the coffee is excellent. Try the avocado, a great twist of the traditional approach, very tasty.

Had a delicious salmon salad which was off their cafe menu which had a good amount of smoked salmon along side fresh salad with avocado and goats cheese. My husband had the risotto and that too was very goo. Price wise it was alittle on the high side and was very slow in coming out but it was good food.

It oozes class and appreciates the finer style of dining. Very welcoming staff. I go here for morning coffee and sometimes breakfast or lunch. Great for a business meeting. Never disappointed with quality of food or service.

The food is great, this place has been around a long time. The acoustics are woeful background noise is loud (all concrete and wooden floors Strozzi please understand folks at your establishment are there to listen and communicate! . We were at a business luncheon of 3. 2 had the special seafood linguine fish/crustaceans were fresh and amazing. My other guest had the ravioli and she loved it.<br/ <br/ The service is so so until you get the folks that have been there a while, admittedly we were arrived early. Having said that for a working lunch, we waited over 15 minutes for our after meal coffees that's too long. <br/ <br/ All in all though a good place. Price is reasonable and service, so long as you get the old hands, is great.

On this occasion, I met a friend for a weekday breakfast. We couldn't resist trying the truffle toasted sandwich, which came filled with mushrooms and thyme-marinated feta. I tried to convince myself that adding a side of tomato and avocado made it a healthier choice, though deep down I knew it wasn't. However, it was incredibly tasty—deliciously indulgent! The large teapots that accompanied our meal were a nice touch, although the metal design made them somewhat tricky to pour. With its wooden paneling, ambient lighting, and refined atmosphere, Strozzi certainly has the qualities of a romantic dining spot. I did find the service to be a bit aloof, possibly because we were not dressed in business attire, but I'm hoping this was just an isolated incident since everything else was truly fantastic. As a side note, “Strozzi” refers to a noble Florentine family from the medieval era, known for their strong and politically astute matriarch, Alessandra. I'd like to think the restaurant is named in her honor, rather than after the Italian verb for "to choke"!

Really nice mushroom toastie, coffee was a bit of a let down. Service is good and the ambience is old school. Like the place will go back as it’s in my office building.

A fantastic spot for a business lunch! I ordered the seafood spaghettini, and it was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere and staff were both excellent, making it an enjoyable experience overall.

I normally come here for work meeting. Place is very well outlayed and got a heritage feel to it which I like about. Strongly recommend their seafood pasta. Very fresh herbs and ingredients.
