What MadeleineC likes about Skinny Dog Hotel:
The pub is quite loud with music, people talking, and the football game on TV. It can be difficult to have a conversation due to the noise. The music may be too loud. However, they do a good job with gluten-free options, including the chips and Caesar salad which were tasty. The Thai beef salad was described as bland and dry by my cousin. The chicken parma portion is large. View all feedback. What PeterM doesn't like about Skinny Dog Hotel:
The service was awful, drinks arrived in opposite order to when ordered with the last two (first preferred) being very late and needed to hassle waiter who had an attitude. Food was great pizza and fish but paella was not properly cooked (rice) not crunchy. The noise was ridiculously high for early evening so forget Amy conversation of any meaning. read moreSkinny Dog is a popular choice for those looking for great food, drinks, and ambiance. While the service can sometimes be slow and confusing, the food is generally well liked with standout dishes such as pizza and fish. The noise level can be overwhelming, especially in the upstairs area, making it difficult to have a meaningful conversation. Despite some issues with noise and service, Skinny Dog remains a welcoming place to enjoy a casual meal and drink, with a good wine list and friendly staff. Overall, it's worth a visit for those looking for a lively pub atmosphere in Kew.
The music in the restaurant was excessively loud, especially considering the limited space and its position in the center of the dining area.
