Was Anonym at Skewer'd a mag?
I don't pretend to be an expert on Greek food but having a better half who is Greek it tends to help to have an idea. Nevertheless, Skewer'd without question is the best souvlaki I have had in this amazing city. If you want something that isn't worth eating or you want to be wholly disappointed then head to Jimmy Grants. If you want **** GOOD FOOD at a reasonable price then Skewer'd is the place to get it. What Anonym dislikes about Skewer'd:
went there for the first time thinking would be a great experience, but was not impressed for a lamb souvlaki, it said on the till to pay but when i checked my card it was any way the portion size is too small to charge that amount and meat quality average. they need to increase the size of the portions if they are charging View all feedback.

Really good Greek food with lamb, chicken, and pork. We got the everything platter to split. High quality. Just down from the water on Port Melbourne. Spacious outdoor seating.
I liked this place. Nice seating out the back on benches (where we sat and also on the breezy sidewalk. We ordered lamb souvlakis, chips, tzatziki, greek salad, and all was pretty yummy and reasonably priced. With such a combo though its hard to go wrong though : !
Wow ! Recommended to everyone that wants a sample of what to expect when in Greece ! Fantastic food done very well ! I just keep coming back to this place for it never fails to fulfill its promise authentic flavour . Pick anything off the menu ! Last I had the Spartan wrap and was very happy ! That 's it this is a 'happiness shop ' for they sell little wraps of happiness ! Ha ha . Seriously happy with the food always perfect ! Very good service always a welcoming smile and a genuinely nice place to eat .
This might be your first time, but it won 't be your last says one of the chefs cheerily making chit chat while I wait for my take away order. Quite rightly; he 's spotted a gal that thinks meat, chips and slaw is an unmissable combo. Skewerd would fall into the category of awesome and fresh 'fast food ', or super casual but awesome) dining options. This Greek eatery is easily one of the best on Bay St for a quick meal or take out. I was going to ask for a Souvlaki...but priced at $9 I wondered if perhaps it might be too small for dinner. Not wanting to come back in the cold, I got the 'Yeeros Plate for One ' $17). Holy mother of meat. The photo doesn 't do justice to the mountain of chicken, slaw, pita bread and chips I encountered. I over ate. I ate until I couldn 't eat any more then put the left overs in the fridge. My partner came home late and made not one but two souvlakis out of my left overs with some extra pita breads we just happened to have in the fridge. He said he wished he had only eaten one and saved the other for lunch. So the plate for one could effectively be a meal for 3 without a lot of effort! The food itself is very tasty. The cabbage salad wasn 't great, but worked ok with the dish as a whole. They have beer and wine as a dine in option, so the restaurant portion was packed full of families settling in for a meal. Meat chips crowd pleaser.

The service was exceptional, they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions such as dairy and gluten free, and the food was delicious!
I had a pork and chicken souvlaki. The portion size was small and the price was quite high, but the flavors were excellent and the meat was of good quality. I would rate it 3.7 out of 5. It's recommended to buy two if you have a big appetite!
Yum!!! Had the spartan wrap and the meat was cooked medium rare and it was really tasty. Chips inside were seasoned with something out of this world, God knows what, but I loved it. Reasonably priced so it won't break the bank. I was a tad let down with the menu because everything had feta or other sorts of lactose in it so the spartan was the only thing I could have that was as close as possible to a yeeros (dont know how I feel about crab yeeros). It was pretty busy that I felt like I couldnt ask them to take the feta out of the salad, or change the tzatziki to some other sauce they might have. I'll return when it's not so busy and ask, hopefully I'll get to try other items on their menu.
The mixed Yeeros was AMAZING! couldnt fault this place.Delicious food for reasonable prices, not trying to rip people off even in port MelbourneWell done guys, keep up the good work:

It is not just for carnivores, as there qre also salads, dips, and breads. It is mainly about the meat, with chicken, beef, lamb, and pork to choose from. I settled for a Spartan Plate, which was the bread, dip (Tzatziki , Greek salad (Horiatiki , chips, and three rissoles (Keftedes ? . It was all good. Water was brought on request and I elected to dine in, although street seating and take away were both available and in popular use.
Reasonably priced Greek food in Port Melbourne. Meat well cooked. Will drop in again if in the area.
Greek to the max. Found this by chance and wow it did not disappoint. Small menu which makes it easy to decide rather than the typical pages of menu. The smaller the selection the better the food, which they did not disappoint. We have 4 meals with varied meats which were very well done. Definitely will be coming back.
We discovered this place by accident and OMG it is fabulous. We both ordered souvlaki and they were super fresh and tasty. But next time I will definitely order one of the platters which locals seem to be ordering. We definitely had food envy, so worth taking a few minutes to watch the food coming out of the busy kitchen and deciding then. Yum! Service very friendly too.
I’m a regular here already and love the place! I took my daughter for a walk last night and even though she wasn’t sure, she went for the off-menu vegan burger. She enjoyed it. Thanks Angelo for giving us what we needed in these crazy days! I highly recommend you give them a go and know you’ll love that you did.

Really good Greek eating with lamb, huh and pork. we have the whole plate that separates. high quality. directly from the water to port melbourne.
Had the lamb-yeros plate, unpack and saganaki. both the plate and the wrap need more season, while the saganaki is an acquired taste. total location and value ratio pretty good. the place is already packed today. the personal was beautiful.
I liked this place beautiful sitting on the back on benches (where we sat) and also on the breezy walk we ordered lamb souvlakis, chips, tzatziki, Greek.
Very ordinary meal. Disappointed that standard of meals has dropped, especially the lamb gyros. Had to ask for table to be cleaned which should be standard given COVID times
