What Rosa María Carrión doesn't like about Script Bar and Bistro:
We arrived 7.15 pm to an empty restaurant, except for staff eating their dinner. We still had to wait to be seated. Only one other couple arrived during our stay. The food was over-priced, with not a great deal of choice. It seems most customers are theatre-goers. The staff swept the floor while we were dining - and then mopped it, which was rather off-putting. It may work as a place to eat if one is going to the the... View all feedback. We both enjoyed the food great service. The waiters and waitresses were all really nice and fun. Food didn't take long and was good, too. I'd definitely come back before a show again. So close to Melbourne Recital and a nice ambience. View all feedback.

read moreScript restaurant, located in the Southbank Theatre, offers a warm and friendly atmosphere for theatre goers looking for a pre-show meal. The cuisine concept is Italian, with dishes like calamari, pasta, fillet steak, and risotto on the menu. The service is prompt and efficient, making it a convenient choice for those looking to dine before a play. The restaurant is popular with people who work at the nearby Recital Centre or ABC, and it is wheelchair and kid-friendly. The food is generally good, with highlights like the beef cheek, hot smoked salmon, and house-made bread and butter pudding receiving praise. However, some dishes like the calamari and gnocchi were noted to be lacking in portion size. Overall, Script offers a reliable dining option for those looking for a quick and tasty meal before a show.
