Best nasi lemak I’ve had recently in Melbourne. The curry chicken was consistently warm (quite often they’re lukewarm), and the sambal was very spicy and delicious! Perhaps the serving could be a little bigger at $14.80 but I’m already craving another serving! View all feedback.
What Շիրազ Գրիգորյան doesn't like about Nasi Lemak House:
Melbourne boasts of a couple of top Malaysian restaurants offering the all time favourite - Nasi Lemak. NL house came recommended.I found the helpings large, but could have been better if there were more of the cucumbers, eggs, ikan bilis and sambal. Good taste but a bit dry. View all feedback.
I met Cfor lunch, we had the vague idea of walking to Lygon St along Grattan St.
Nasi Lemak sells nasi lemak without the chili and expects you to pay extra $1 for itThe place is small, so is the menu.
Found this place by Menulog as we were on the hunt for Char Kway Teow. We got the chicken and the seafood. I found it to be of good flavour but was way too hot for my liking. I ordered off Menulog and there was no option to choose a "heat" level, leading me to believe chili is optional. Wrong. The chicken was a bit chewy and had a weird texture to it. The squid and prawns were lovely but the clams were not great. Over all it was a good meal but just too hot for me to enjoy or rate higher.
Eyeing this little place for three days now, I finally got to check it out only to be disappointed with cracked teeth from this little pebble in the food. I always try Char Kway Teow (CKT) at my first visit to any Malaysian place, almost as a rule of thumb. After waiting for over 25min, my excitement died when I saw the overly sauced dish with two sad pieces of super dried baby clams (supposedly the yummiest part of the signature feature of Malaysian CKT). The noodles were also a tad too hard and mostly stuck together.
