NL House in Melbourne is a popular Malaysian restaurant known for its Nasi Lemak. While some diners found the portions to be large, they felt that the dish could have been improved with more cucumbers, eggs, ikan bilis, and sambal. Another customer, who ordered Char Kway Teow through Menulog, found the food to be flavorful but too hot for their liking. One reviewer was disappointed with their CKT experience, citing overly sauced noodles and dry baby clams. Despite some mixed reviews, NL House is a bright and modern eatery offering classic Malaysian dishes. Customers particularly recommended the Nasi Lemak with crispy anchovies. For those craving authentic Malaysian cuisine, NL House is a must-visit spot in Melbourne. With dishes like Nasi Lemak rendang and laksa receiving praise for their taste and satisfying portions, this restaurant offers a taste of Malaysia in Australia. Despite not being as cheap as in Malaysia, the food at NL House is described as just as tasty and filling. Customers enjoy the spicy flavors and friendly staff, making them want to return for more delicious Malaysian fare.

Was Gee P at Nasi Lemak House a mag?
Best nasi lemak I’ve had recently in Melbourne. The curry chicken was consistently warm (quite often they’re lukewarm), and the sambal was very spicy and delicious! Perhaps the serving could be a little bigger at $14.80 but I’m already craving another serving! View all feedback.
What Շիրազ Գրիգորյան dislikes about Nasi Lemak House:
Melbourne boasts of a couple of top Malaysian restaurants offering the all time favourite - Nasi Lemak. NL house came recommended.I found the helpings large, but could have been better if there were more of the cucumbers, eggs, ikan bilis and sambal. Good taste but a bit dry. View all feedback.
I met Cfor lunch, we had the vague idea of walking to Lygon St along Grattan St.
Nasi Lemak sells nasi lemak without the chili and expects you to pay extra $1 for itThe place is small, so is the menu.
Found this place by Menulog as we were on the hunt for Char Kway Teow. We got the chicken and the seafood. I found it to be of good flavour but was way too hot for my liking. I ordered off Menulog and there was no option to choose a "heat" level, leading me to believe chili is optional. Wrong. The chicken was a bit chewy and had a weird texture to it. The squid and prawns were lovely but the clams were not great. Over all it was a good meal but just too hot for me to enjoy or rate higher.
Food is alright from a taste perspective. However the wait times were horrible weather you eat in or taking away. Very little communication and poor order management. Understand that they were very busy, but it should be managed properly with a little bit of customer service.
